BRATISLAVA: Visit of External Affairs Minister to Slovakia and the Czech Republic
BRATISLAVA: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to Slovakia and the Czech Republic from 02-06 June 2022.
During his visit to Bratislava from 02-04 June 2022, EAM will call on H.E. Mr. Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of Slovakia, and will hold bilateral discussions with H.E. Mr. Ivan Korčok, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia.
He will also attend the GLOBSEC 2022 Forum and speak on the topic ‘Taking Friendship to the Next Level: Allies in the Indo-Pacific Region’.
EAM is scheduled to meet H.E. Mr. Alexander Schallenberg, Minister of European and International Affairs of Austria, on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC 2022 Forum.
During his visit to the Czech Republic from 04-06 June, EAM will hold discussions with H.E. Mr. Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The discussions will provide an opportunity for a comprehensive review of our bilateral cooperation. The Czech Republic will be taking over the EU Presidency from 01 July 2022.
In addition to meeting the political leadership of the two countries, EAM will also interact with a cross-section of our Diaspora, including Indian students in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
India has traditionally enjoyed close and friendly ties with both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. EAM’s visit will impart further momentum to bilateral relations with the two Central European countries.
