BRIDGETOWN: Visit of MoS, Shri Pabitra Margherita to Mexico, Grenada, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda
BRIDGETOWN: Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Shri Pabitra Margherita (MoS) will pay an official visit to Mexico (30 September – 2 October 2024), Grenada (2-4 October 2024), Barbados (4-6 October 2024) and Antigua and Barbuda (6-8 October 2024).
In Mexico MoS will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of H.E. Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum as the President of Mexico on 1st October 2024.
MoS’ visit to Grenada would mark the first Ministerial-level visit from our side since May 2018 and second ever such visit to the country.
In Barbados, he would be visiting places of bilateral interest.
In the last leg of his visit, MoS will be in Antigua where he would hold bilateral meetings.
MoS’ program during his four nation visit would include meetings with Foreign Ministers; interaction with key political, trade and industry leaders, ITEC alumni members and Indian diaspora; and visit to bilateral project sites.
The visit underscores the deepening of relationship between India and Latin America and the Caribbean. It is expected to bolster political, economic and cultural ties, and pave the way for greater collaboration with our partners in the Global South.
