BANKOK : 10 Asian countries Indians can travel without any visa hassles
BANGKOK :
Bhutan
Indian travellers intending to visit Bhutan will now be able to do so without any visa hassle. All they will have to do is carry any of the two valid travel documents, i.e., a valid Indian Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months, or a Voter Identity card that has been issued by the Election Commission of India. Now that the nation has reopened, you can easily plan a visit.
Cambodia (VOA)
Indians can acquire a visa-on-arrival (VOA) in Cambodia; however, it might take a while and is not recommended. Instead, one can go ahead and apply for their visa online just before departure. The entire process will take just a few minutes to fill out the form and, as per the records, most have received their visa in 3-4 business days.
Indonesia
Indonesia is another beautiful country, where Indian travellers can visit without any visa. Just be sure that your travel duration is for less than 30 days. All you have to do is to get a visa exemption stamp from the immigration counter; it is available free of cost. However, if you are travelling to the country for more than 30 days, you can apply for VOA when you enter the country.
Laos (VOA)
Next in the list is the beautiful country Laos, where Indians can travel without any visa hassles. One does not need to take the pain of applying for a Laos visa in advance. All they have to do is carry their valid travel documents, and they can easily get a VOA in Laos. Do note that the Laos VOA is issued for 30 days. Visitors must be holding a passport that is valid for at least six months from the time of entry into Laos, and they will be good to go.
Macau
Indian travellers will not need a visa to visit Macau if they are travelling to Macau for 30 days. One will just need to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months on the date of entry. If anyone intends to stay any longer than 30 days, they can do so by getting a visa allowing or applying for a visa extension of more than 30 days.
Maldives (VOA)
This beautiful island nation offers VOA for Indian travellers, which is issued free of cost. One will need to submit certain travel documents though to clear immigration upon arrival in the country. Do note that on-arrival tourist visas in the Maldives for Indians remain valid for 30 days from the day of arrival, which can further be extended up to 90 days.
Myanmar (VOA)
Indian travellers can easily get a VOA when in Myanmar, which grants its holder a maximum stay of 30 days in the country. One can get the same at the airport for a fee, followed by getting the visa stamped. There is even a faster and simpler process to gain entry to the country—by applying for the electronic Myanmar visa.
Nepal
Indian passport holders will not require a visa to travel to this neighbouring country of Nepal. However, make sure that you would be required to carry proper credentials issued by the Government of India, the Election Commission of India, etc.
Sri Lanka (VOA)
Indian passport holders are eligible for VOA when visiting Sri Lanka. However, to get the document, one needs to apply for a Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before leaving for the country. Fortunately, the ETA is available online, and one can get it without any hassle.
Thailand (VOA)
Thailand is another popular destination where Indians can travel to on VOA. However, one needs to make sure that they meet the following requirements, i.e., you are visiting the country strictly for tourism purposes, and your passport is genuine and is valid for at least 30 days.
