CUPERTINO: Apple opens its first retail store in India.
CUPERTINO: In a major development for Apple enthusiasts in India, the tech giant has opened its first retail store in the country. The store, located in Mumbai, marks a significant milestone for the company’s expansion into the Indian market. The Apple store, which spans over 20,000 square feet, is located in the heart of Mumbai’s high-end shopping district. The store’s design is a reflection of Apple’s signature minimalist aesthetic, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a large video wall, and spacious product display areas. Speaking about the launch, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “We’re thrilled to open our first retail store in India, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and a market that holds tremendous potential for Apple. We look forward to bringing the best of Apple to our customers here.” The Mumbai store will offer customers the full range of Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and AirPods, as well as a range of accessories. The store will also offer a range of services, including the Genius Bar, where customers can receive technical support and troubleshooting assistance. The opening of the Mumbai store is part of Apple’s wider strategy to expand its presence in India, a market where the company has traditionally struggled due to high import duties and a lack of infrastructure. In recent years, Apple has made significant investments in the country, including the launch of its online store in 2020 and the announcement of a $1 billion manufacturing plant in 2021.
