MUMBAI: Vidyut Jammwal turned action choreographer for Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2

MUMBAI: Shooting a film amidst the pandemic was a challenge most of the Bollywood filmmakers took up in the last two years. Faruk Kabir who’s glad that work kept him busy through these tough years was hands-on working on Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2.

 Despite shooting in a situation where following COVID protocols was mandatory on sets Faruk took a leap and decided to shoot the climax of the Vidyut Jammwal starrer at foreign shores.

However, shooting in Egypt became quite a bumpy ride due to certain circumstances, which Kabir further talks about. He shares, “We were to roll the shoot in Egypt for which the team started to land in the country.

However, our action choreographer got quarantined in Hong Kong and then my cameraman got tested COVID positive so even he got dropped from the shoot.

Imagine we were in Egypt ready for the shoot sans an action choreographer and cameraman.”

This is when the director thought of multitasking and also turned to Vidyut for help. He shares, “We had a deadline to finish the shoot. There was no time to wait for any one. So, Vidyut and I got down to action.

Actually, the two of us really enjoyed the phase instead of getting stressed or feeling over-worked. The two of us became kids. Vidyut loves action and he came up with great ideas. Likewise, I got to play with the camera so much as a cameraman. It was a great, one of a kind experience where I was looking into so many departments together while working on the film.”
