TIRANA: India-EU Consultations on Disarmament and Non-proliferation
TIRANA: The seventh round of India-EU consultations on disarmament and non-proliferation matters was held in a virtual format on 10 February 2022. The delegations were led by the Joint Secretary, Disarmament and International Security Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs of India, and EU’s Special Envoy for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation and Head of Disarmament, Non-proliferation and Arms Export Control in the European External Action Service.
The two sides discussed developments in disarmament and non-proliferation relating to nuclear, chemical and biological domains, outer space issues, conventional weapons and strategic export controls. The consultations are part of dialogue mechanisms under the Roadmap to 2025 for further strengthening the India-EU Strategic Partnership.
